xbox 360 game room not loading past 30%?

i downloaded the game room and downloaded the game packs but it will not let me load half way it just stays about a quarter loaded in the meter on the bottom of the screen when i am about to start. i deleted everything and downloaded it again and the same problem, the loading meter stops at the same spot. do i need to register online to play this or is something else wrong here?
NEVERMIND IT SUCKS

Apparently they are having some major server problems. No official word yet from MS but according to the Game Room community forums and other online sources, the Game Room is broken.

I did stumble upon a temp fix though that lets you still play around with the room designer.

1. Start loading the game until it hangs on loading. Hit the Guide button and then go back to dashboard. Immediately go back to the game using Quick Launch and continue through prompts. It should eventually tell you that the Game servers are not responding and then you have your options. It’s pretty cool so far.
